Attacked while swimming off the coast of San Diego CA with his Triathalon club. The shark was estimated to be between 12-16 feet. The shark made a single attack from below with one bite measuring 22 inches. He died on the beach after being helped to shore. |

Killed while diving with a friend in 15-20 feet of water 150 feet from shore off Mendocino, California near Kibesillah Rock. The shark was estimated to be 16-18 feet long. | |

Attacked while swimming 75 yards off Avila Beach, California in about 20 feet of water. She was clad in a wetsuit and fins; sea lions were present. The shark was estimated to be 15-18 feet long. She died on the beach. |

Killed while swimming off Pt. Loma, California. The San Diego County medical examiners office ruled that she was killed in a fatal shark attack; however, some in the law enforcement community have questioned this conclusion and feel that she may have been murdered and dumped in the Pacific Ocean. Her leg was bitten off by a great white shark. |

Killed while kayaking off the coast of Malibu, California with her boyfriend, Roy Jeffrey Stoddard. McAllister's body was found floating face down two days later with large sections from her legs and buttocks missing; no trace of Stoddard has ever been found. Let's hope this guy hasn't heard about Ms. McAllister. Probably won't help his nerves any. |

BEFORE 1900.....hrmm, I'm sure there have been plenty more we don't know about. I would venture to say that at least one or two Eskimos and Native Americans bumped into
the Great White sometime in that last few hundred years. We'll never know.
