They must feel like they manage to do something important, so they must be proud, but they would PREFER if they didn't have to harm anyone for food. One is mean when he does not care at all if anyone suffers. It's the same with us, no? We eat our pork meat and enjoy it but would prefer that we didn't have to kill the pig. I'm just telling you they are not BAD. They (and we as well) are forced to do bad things, but don't have another choice.

Thanks for being polite. I am perfectly aware that our world is as cruel as possible, and that we cannot change that, thank you. (And I've finished my homework :D ) And why do you say that, anyway? I just asked VelvetKate who was mean, I didn't say that survival isn't mean. I'm not that stupid you know. I just said that animals (just as most humans) do not enjoy the actual fact of killing something. Except, of course, if they really hate it.

I dunno, pandas kinda FAIL at survival. They take stupid amounts of time to pair up, mate and mature to adulthood again.I'm not sure why we're fixated on saving species like that, ones that are doomed not purely through human intervention but chiefly because their survival mechanisms are broken.

killer whales are pretty bastard-y also.They're one of the only groups to go after and suceed in attacking a great white.Great Whites are more solitary than killer whales, they're just mean.

I can imagine it was pretty hard but when they had to get footage of the snow leopard - the first and only of its kind in its natural habitat - this one man had to wait on his own for about 300 something days - they say it all in the diaries - and the caves was pretty hardgoing and tretuous stuff as health codes advise a maximum of 5 days staying down there and they did ten and had to lug all that filming equipment and wade around in millions of bat shit and cockroaches.
