What I see behind this video is two men that have had to go through a lot of crap, and yet sing a happy song. As some of you say, they do sing it like a couple of drunks: true Shane is a functioning alcoholic and Nick is a depressive madman, both of them broken. But they sing a song of better days to come.

Geez. Nick Cave, one of Australia's all time great talents (well, I reckon the best talent), and one of my favourite's of all time (Shane). Doesn't really work though. Shit song. Louis Armstrong does it well. These guys don't. |
