We moved to Oregon three years ago because we could not afford to retire in Hawai`i, my home for 31 years. One of the things we miss most is music like this, and artists like Keali`i. One of our cats is named after him. Aloha kakou. Imua.

His voice is incredibly pretty. I sat next to him in last years Merrie Monarch Competition, and was very excited. Little did i know, that when the kupuna of my halau, and their relatives, offered him leis, he didn't take them from the old ladies. He has become too star struck if you have ever met him, and thats NOT what the Aloha spirit is about.
