Quite an unfair benchmark. A 512mb 4870 vs a 1GB 280? Higher video memory means much better performance at high resolutions like this. I don't think the DDR5 in the 4870 can make up for the extra 512megs the 280 has... anyway, GX2 looks like the best value here but really anything around 50 fps is very playable :S

You should put an 4870X2 in the test. It fucks all the nvidia cards to dust. However.. Wtf is this for benchmark? A dual gpu card like the GX2 from Nvidia against a single (512mb!) GDDR3 ati 4870? You should test fair in a setup like:4850 vs 9800GTX4870X2 vs 9800GX24850 was meant to be a equal card to the 9800GTX, so that would be a fair benchmark..
