Samara takes the life of her victims by sending images through their heads that it literally petrifies them to death. That was why the horses went crazy, because her father made her sleep in the barn and from there she made the horses go crazy by sending them her visions of wanting to hurt others. the horses could not take it so they broke out and drowned themselves. The handprint, the nosebleed, and the necklace were all signs indicating that they are marked for what they saw on the tape.

I only watched half of this because there was crack on the disc when i hired it, so what if you do a runner? How will she also come out of the screen without even having a screen ?

i agree a movie doesnt need to be gory to be scary
