They are not dumb. Gov. Palin can appoint a Republican to replace Stevens. Stevens will step down (if he wins), and the empty seat will be replaced by Palin's pick. This way, they can help hold back the Democrats from taking over the senate. Not dumb at all.

On the other hand, every man woman and child in Alaskan gets paid $3,500 dollars a year out of state oil revenues. So they may be stupid but they ain't dumb.

I hate to say this, but I can't believe Alaskans would be so dumb to elect a convicted felon as their senator!! This is pathetic.
