What was worse than not being able to answer that question, is Mr. Dion's long overdue resingation. He is causing serious damage to his party. Being not able to speak or understand english doesn't take any credit away from a man, but not being able to see the truth is very unfortunate. Ignatieff is more qualified for the leadership but he has to tattoo this advice on his skull: Be more humble and warm up to people before the mess repeats itself.

It seems that most commentators are simply incapable of parsing the question properly and of spotting the cognitive dissonance. The interviewer, Dion's aide and all the commentators who fail to grasp that the question is superficially simple, but deeply flawed in the way it's framed, just prove that they actually have a lesser grasp of English than Mr Dion. Of course, Mr Dion could have answered the question anyway which he actually did, but that was conveniently left out of this clip...
